Meet Stacy Miller Public Affairs, Inc. (SMPA), a full service public affairs and communication firm dedicated to delivering the right message at the right time to the right audience. From traditional public relations services to government relations, stakeholder engagement, coalition building and crisis communication, SMPA helps public, private and non-profit clients achieve and surpass their strategic goals.

SMPA was established in 2008 and is led by Stacy Miller whose professional experience in public, private and non-profit communications, public relations and government affairs extends more than 25 years.

Stacy Miller’s professional experience in public, private and non-profit communications, public relations and government affairs extends over 20 years and provides a broad base of expertise that has led organizations and clients to surpass their strategic goals.
Most recently as the President of Stacy Miller Public Affairs (SMPA), Stacy and her team have developed and led strategic communication, public relations, public affairs and coalition building efforts on behalf of clients including: Outfront Media, Lamar Advertising, Clear Channel Outdoor, Los Angeles Advertising Coalition (LAAC), Castaic Lake Water Agency, Rescue Mission Alliance, San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, City of Glendale, Glendale Water & Power, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Los Angeles Universal Preschool, Boston Scientific, County of Santa Barbara, emPower Santa Barbara, California Community Foundation, Cisneros Foundation and First American Home Warranty, just to name a few.
Prior to launching her consulting firm in 2008, Stacy developed and implemented a comprehensive External Relations Program for one of the largest early education non-profit organizations in the State of California—The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC). The departments Stacy launched during her seven-year tenure now serve as models at the local, state and national levels at CCRC and include Community & Public Relations, Fund Development, Marketing and Government Affairs.
As the Intergovernmental Relations Director for the City of Santa Clarita, the third-largest city in Los Angeles County, Stacy ran the City’s legislative, outreach and governmental affairs program. In that capacity, Stacy served as the City’s lead spokesperson on matters of local, regional, state and federal significance. While serving in that role, Stacy acted as the government affairs and community engagement lead during the City’s battle against the international Cemex mining company. Stacy also served as an analyst in the City’s Economic Development Division, implementing economic development strategies including business development and business retention programs.
Stacy’s public affairs career began in the private sector at Sunkist Growers, serving as Special Assistant to the Vice President of Government Affairs, Public Relations, and Member Relations. While at Sunkist, Stacy assisted in the development and implementation of member engagement and media relations campaigns, analyzing and interpreting political trends, and administering Sunkist’s political action campaign.
Stacy holds a Masters in Public Administration. She and her husband of 28 years are the proud parents of Trent, an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army’s elite 82nd Airborne and Paige, a successful bay area professional in the high-tech industry.
Gail Morgan has more than 35 years of service in non profit and public sector communications. Most recently, Gail served as the Communications Manager at the City of Santa Clarita, the 3rd largest city in Los Angeles County.
While at the City of Santa Clarita, Gail developed and implemented an award winning communication programs that helped the City achieve regional and national media exposure for its programs, projects and special events. During her 27-year tenure, Gail was also instrumental in helping the City navigate through several difficult crises, including the recent Sand Fire, which burned 40,000-plus acres and destroyed many homes, and the aftermath of the 1994 Northridge earthquake where there was no power and a myriad of problems that made it difficult to communicate with residents.
One of Gail’s biggest and most innovative accomplishments during her career with the City was creating a multi-faceted communications program from the ground up which included public and community relations, social media, video, special events and branding. When social media was first catching on, Gail ensured that Santa Clarita was one of the first cities in the state to adopt a full compliment of social media platforms.
In 2011, Gail received California Public Information Officer’s (CAPIO) prestigious Paul B. Clark lifetime achievement award for her outstanding communications service to the public. She has also won more than 30 CAPIO awards over the years, has received numerous SAVVY Awards from the City/County Communications and Marketing Association. Leading the team for Santa Clarita, Gail helped the City win more highly coveted League of California Cities Helen Putnam Awards of Excellence than any city in the state.
Gail is the proud mother of twin sons. She and her husband Joe recently retired from public service and Gail now enjoys working with Stacy Miller Public Affairs to help industry, business and non-profits statewide achieve and surpass their goals.
Branding and Digital Media Associate
Eva Brune has more than 17 years of experience in brand management, communications and social media in such diverse fields as apparel, retail, entertainment and nonprofits. Eva’s passion lies in the nonprofit sector and as part of the SMPA team, Eva has spearheaded efforts to best position the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, Generation 1st Degree – Pico Rivera, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and WaterWise Santa Barbara. Eva also serves on the National Health Foundation in the role of social media manager, and has also worked with We LIFT LA, NEX-Impact and IMinds PR in social media and public relations capacities.
Allan Evenas has been successfully creating design print materials for a wide variety of clients since 1985. He established his work ethic of commitment to client satisfaction at one of the top design studios in Los Angeles, where he gained respect as a detailed-oriented graphic designer and businessman through continued recommendations from clients and peers.
He specializes in solving communication problems by helping companies assess their position in their field, clarify their marketing needs and creating the printed information required to promote their products or services.
Allan’s attitude toward design is simple; he begins each project by examining and clarifying client’s needs and objectives, then generates creative solution that include every aspect of verbal and visual communication. His personal service and commitment to quality and integrity is one of the keys to SMPA’s success.
An Emmy award-winning television journalist, Jennifer has more than 15 years experience in news production, public relations, social media and multicultural outreach. She has produced in-depth human-interest profile stories, as well as written content for news and feature articles, television scripts, branding materials, social media, and executive speeches.
Her recent experience includes serving as the Communications and Media Relations Representative for the nonprofit organization Los Angeles Universal Preschool and as a show producer/writer at PBS Los Angeles for the national show “A Place of Our Own,” and “Los Ninos en su Casa.” Jennifer has also written and produced for a wide variety of television networks, such as The Learning Channel (TLC), PBS, Lifetime Television and E! Entertainment. Her production talents increase and enhance the multimedia presentations for clients of Stacy Miller Public Affairs.
